  • Hydrate the Hydrant!

Good morning everyone! Fancy seeing you around the water bowl this early. You caught me right before my morning walk. Every day, I stop here by my bowl to get a couple good laps in before my laps. Can you guess why?

It’s just in case we pass an interesting hydrant or tree that I may want to claim as a part of Benjiland! These walks serve as the perfect scouting times for my territory expansion and I gotta be sure I got something in the tank when I lift a leg. Not only does it mean I can claim more spaces as my own, I also feel way better after a hearty drink.

Those long walks can leave my throat dry and I even get headaches sometimes. But a cool tongue full of water changes that in an instant! It’s soooooo easy to get caught up in the humdrum of life and forget to raise a bowl (or glass) to our lips. I find the best solution is to just keep a filled water bowl handy whenever you need it. My Mom always carries a bottle of water, which works too!

If there’s throbbing in your temples or aches in your paws, you may just need to dip that snout into some fresh water!

Besides, you never know if a piece of fence needs to be added to your land or if the neighbor’s freshly planted flowers need watering!

Uh-oh, I’ve been told that’s enough potty talk for one day.  Before I sign off, let’s lift a bowl together. Cheers to you being you! I’ll bark at you later folks!

    Your Hydrated Hound,

    Benji
